Fred Raymond Peragallo, age 80, passed peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, June 1, 2017, in the comfort of his daughter's home. From his birth in Hackensack, NJ, born to Catherine Oliveri and William Peragallo on December 19, 1936, he nourished people around him with love, faith, humor and strength. Fred's family looked to him for advice and direction, knowing that he would be truthful and straightforward. He would always try and find a solution. That's just who he was.

Fred attended Fordham University and also Seaton Hall University where he began his career as a chemical engineer. His first job in the industry was at Nopco Chemical Company. It was here that he met his devoted wife, Marguerite in 1959. The moment he laid eyes on her, he commented, "You see her? You hire her, because some day, I am going to marry her. "This is how Fred approached so many aspects of his life; always to the fullest and with determination and purpose.

His career was full working for companies like Upjohn, Bally Engineered Structures and Utah Foam Products. He loved camping, boating, fishing, playing cards, bowling, and woodworking. Many of his furniture pieces can be found throughout the homes of family members. Proud of his heritage, he was a true Italian and one of his greatest joys was to gather in the kitchen and cook amazing meals for family.

Left to honor his memory is his wife, Marguerite Marlene Peragallo of over 57 years; his sister, Teresa Delmastro, his three children, Fred Anthony Peragallo and wife Bonnie, Raymond James Peragallo, and Karen Lynn Culp and husband John E. Culp III; his adoring five grandchildren, Nadra Alia Peragallo, John Everett Culp IV (AJ), Connor Frederick Culp, Braeden Parker Culp and Christopher James Peragallo; and Judy Eaton, a long-time friend of the families that referred to him as "Dad".

He is preceded in death by his mom, Catherine Peragallo, his dad, William Peragallo, his daughter-in-law Joan Peragallo and his granddaughter, Sage Estelle Peragallo.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 8 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Maricopa, AZ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Fred's name to Our Lady of Grace.

Arrangements under the direction of Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, Chandler, AZ.
