Richard Lee Snyder, 86, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He was born on August 18, 1931 in Elgin, Illinois. He was a Navy veteran and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science where he was also a member of the fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. It is at ASU that he met the love of his life, Sharon (Cleveland) Snyder and they married in 1955 in Coolidge, AZ. Dick retired from Unistrut Corporation after 36 years of service. Richard Lee Snyder, 86, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He was born on August 18, 1931 in Elgin, Illinois. He was a Navy veteran and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science where he was also a member of the fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. It is at ASU that he met the love of his life, Sharon (Cleveland) Snyder and they married in 1955 in Coolidge, AZ. Dick retired from Unistrut Corporation after 36 years of service. He ran the Denver, CO branch of Unistrut Corporation before returning to Wayne, MI to become the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Dick was a gentle soul and the rock of the family. He enjoyed playing golf and cards (Bridge). He was a true sport fan and loved watching his favorite teams, Arizona Diamondbacks, Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos and Arizona State University Sun Devils.

Dick is survived by his wife, Sharon; his children Richard Lee Jr, Terri Ann (Timothy), Thomas Edward (Nicole), and Michael James (Kate); 14 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by daughter, Tamara Lynn.

Family, friends and others whose lives Dick has touched are invited to United Methodist Church, 9248 E Riggs Road, Sun Lakes, AZ for a visitation with the family on Monday, September 11 from 5-7 pm. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 12 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, Dick requested donations be made to the United Methodist Church of Sun Lakes, AZ.
